In response to your initial feedback we have identified key themes from your comments and want to clarify some points:
Both Mosborough Health Centre and Sothall Medical Centre will stay open, both sites will remain. We are not closing either site down.
All patients will retain their choice of where they want an appointment and who they want to see.
There will be no change to how you make an appointment or order a prescription.
Both surgeries opening hours will remain the same.
We are not reducing any GP appointments. No appointments will be taken away from either surgery.
We are keeping all the ‘extended hours’ appointments at both sites.
You can be seen at your local surgery, you will not have to travel to a different surgery.
We are keeping all our clinicians and staff.
This is not a cost saving exercise.
WHY ARE WE CONSIDERING A MERGER?
We want to be in a better position to weather GP and Staff retirement over the next few years.
We believe working closely together and combining our staff and financial resources will give us more security for the future.
It would allow us to offer greater flexibility for patients to access appointments, clinicians and services at either site in the future if they wish.
