Worldwide Vaccine Shortages

It has been brought to our attention by the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Screening and Immunisation Team that both the hepatitis A and hepatitis B vaccine are in very short supply globally. This is affecting all GP surgeries within the UK and therefore we have to prioritise the provision of both of these vaccines as recommended by guidance from Public Health England, based on assessment of the individual patient’s risk.
