Township 1 – Covid Booster and Flu Update

We have received notification from NHSE that the Covid Vaccination Booster Programme will be going ahead. The 6 Local Practices ( Sothall, Hackenthorpe, Mosborough, Owlthorpe, Crystal Peak and Birley) will once again be working collaboratively to deliver the Covid Boosters at Beighton Health Centre.
In line with government guidance we will be offering these to patients in the relevant cohorts (at least 6 months after their 2nd dose). This includes:-
• Pts in residential care homes for older adults
• All adults 50 years and over
• Frontline Health & Social Care Staff
• 16-54 years with underlying health conditions
• Adults in households with immunosuppressed individuals.
Where possible we will be offering the Booster and Flu Vaccination at the same time, but unfortunately this is not always possible. You may, therefore, be asked to attend your own Practice for your Flu vaccine. We are encouraging all patients that are eligible for both to have both vaccines.
Please do not contact your Practice, they will contact you to invite you for both your Flu Jab and Covid Booster.
