Surgery Update 28/05/2021
We are open and have been throughout the COVID Pandemic. However for the time being we will continue to deal with as many problems as possible by telephone. If the clinician feels that there is a need to be seen face-to-face they will discuss this you with and, if safe and necessary, you will be provided with a face-to-face appointment. This is to keep footfall to the surgery to a minimum to allow social distancing for our patients’ and staff safety.
Access to the surgery is currently still limited, this is also to help to maintain safe social distancing; if you wish to order a repeat prescription or to book an appointment please do this via the telephone or via the online services including our new patient triage https://florey.accurx.com/p/C88023
We will however continue to monitor this and take guidance from NHS England.

We have slowly started to reintroduce annual reviews for patients with long term conditions. Please do not worry if you haven’t been invited around your birthday as you usually would: we are and have been inviting patients in for reviews as soon as we are able to and in as safe a way as possible. If however you have any concerns or issues regarding long term conditions, do not wait for us to contact you; please call our reception team who will be happy to help or advise.
Before entering the surgery for an appointment you will be screened at the door. Please can we ask that you DO NOT visit the surgery if you or anyone you live with are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or if you are waiting on a COVID test result.
If you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19 it is essential that you get a PCR test: these can be requested by visiting https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or by calling 119.
You may already take regular Lateral Flow tests however these are designed to detect people who are positive with NO SYMPTOMS and can miss up to 1 in 4 COVID cases and therefore cannot be completely relied upon to rule out a COVID infection.
We are also involved with ensuring the COVID-19 vaccination programme is efficient and effective in offering vaccination to our patients in line with the national guidelines.
