COVID-19 Vaccine
We’re sure you’ve seen stories in the news and are aware that the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine has started to be rolled out.
Three Sheffield GP surgeries are due to have their first delivery of vaccines next week; ours should follow in the coming weeks.
To avoid disruption at Sothall Medical Centre we are currently in talks to use the old Beighton Medical Centre building. However nothing as yet has been confirmed.
We understand patients may have questions and concerns regarding the vaccine. However can we please ask that you don’t call the surgery regarding this as our phone lines are already extremely busy. We will let you know when it’s your turn to have the vaccine and will confirm further details asap.
The Pfizer vaccine is given in 2 doses, at least 21 days apart. If you chose to be vaccinated it is critical that you have both doses.
The vaccine is being offered in order of priority starting with those aged over 80.
